God Loves Us

GOD SHOWS US GOODNESS, LOVE & MERCY

Thank you Jesus...thank you Lord...thank you for your goodness & your mercy...your love & praise for us God...Lord, your mercy that you have extended to us we just thank you for that this morning.

Isn't the Lord wonderful? God is so good that we are able to come & drink of that living fountain that never runs dry. What a wonderful thing that is. Praise the Lord.

HONOUR TO MOTHERS

On Mother's Day of 2024, we honored all the mothers that were at church during the Sunday Service. I honored my mother who was a godly lady who raised me to know the Lord & brought me to church when I really didn't want to go. She kept me interested in things that were church oriented. I remember sitting around the piano when I was just a little child. I remember Momma playing church songs & we children learning how to sing.

A MOTHER'S LOVE

I am thankful for my parents & how they raised me to know the Lord.

My mom loved me so much that she would have given her life for me if she needed to. In the book of Kings, there were two ladies who had children. One of the children died in the night. They came to Soloman & asked who would take the other child that lived. The woman whose child had died lied and said the dead child belonged to the other woman.

Long story short, Soloman made a decision & said, "Bring me a sword. Let's divide the baby in half". The real mother of the baby began to cry out, "No. Let her take it. Don't hinder the baby". Soloman knew right then who the mother of that child was. Here is the thing about it, the other mother & the evil that was in her heart said, "Divide it".

GOD LOVES US SO MUCH

That's the way satan is in our life today. He thinks he owns you. He would just as soon have you be destroyed as to have somebody else to enjoy, such as God your presence & your love. But God loves us so much that he sent a Saviour in the world to help us away from things such as that.

From the snare of the fowler...from satan's mighty acts...all of these things, God is always there. He is a very present help in the time of trouble. It doesn't matter what you are going through.

JUDGMENT

I heard the Praise Team singing the song about judging. We don't need to judge you here. I read where Paul said, "Judge you therefore no more". We are not in the judgment business as far as to try criticize someone. Judgment begins at the House of God, & we understand that. But that judgment is through Jesus Christ & the Word of God. That's what will judge us in the end...is the Lord Jesus Christ when he comes back & divides the nations.

God has appointed him to do a job. And, he will take those that don't know the Lord. The bible said he would cast them into outer darkness.

CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

But as Paul said in 2 Timothy 4: 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: (here's the pretty part) and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV

Do you love Jesus this morning? Do you love the Lord who died at the cross of Calvary for you? Do you love the man who gave his life so that you could be set free from the things that satan binds you with?

WE HAVE ALL SINNED

Lord how we love you! Think about that little lady when her child was there about ready to be destroyed. "No, don't take his life." God loves you that much. Instead of you having to die, he sent his only son to die for our sins...for the things that we have done in our life. Paul said, "We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God".

My Momma taught me how to live. I remember when she used to give us whippings. Some children don't really know what that is nowadays. I would much rather have that belt across my backside than the 30 minute session I was about to receive from her. But that's what made me stay...to know what's right & wrong...taught me to go to church & love the Lord...how to be a good person...how to love my brother.

A MOTHER SHOWING GOD'S LOVE

Momma always taught me, & I know where she learned these things at. She learned them through the preached Word of God. Momma always taught us kids,you would say, "Son, don't go to bed with wrath. If there is anything between you & your brother get it fixed before you go to sleep". I try to live by that today.

DO YOU WANT TO CAUSE A HARDSHIP TO ANYONE?

If I knew of anything in my life that I did to offend any one person I would come to you & ask you for forgiveness. I don't want anything in my life that would cause someone to have a hardship. How about you?
