The Story of Christmas

The "Christmas Story Scene".
The Story of Christmas

Not everybody that seeks the Lord has good intentions.

It's not everybody that seeks the Lord has good intentions.  There have been Christmas programs each year telling about Joseph and Mary with Baby Jesus lying in a manger who was born in Bethlehem for many years.

In Isaiah 9:6 KJV  6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

We know this child was born and history will declare it to be true.  These words you see or hear read quite often around Christmas time, means a lot to the Christian. The words that are in here are our life. It is something we should all seek for and have an understanding of.  We should realize the joy that goes along with what this verse says.

God told his son in Hebrews 1:5 KJV,  5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, THOU ART MY SON, THIS DAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN THEE? And again, I WILL BE TO HIM A FATHER, AND HE SHALL BE TO ME A SON?  6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM.

7 And of the angels he saith, WHO MAKETH HIS ANGELS SPIRITS, AND HIS MINISTERS A FLAME OF FIRE.  8  But unto the Son he saith, THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOR EVER AND EVER: A SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTRE OF THY KINGDOM.

Many times, stories have been told about the Wise Men coming from afar seeking the small child.  They had been sent by King Herod who was ruling the world in that day. When the Wise Men were there with King Herod, he told them to go find that child, go seek after him and find him that he may come and worship him.

But King Herod had no intentions of worshiping the Lord the way Christians worship him.  King Herod knew Jesus was a threat.  His soul purpose was to get rid of the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.

When you start talking about seeking the Lord, what are your intentions?  The bible teaches us to seek him...call on him while he is near.  It is our job and our duty to seek the Lord
